So, here it is, my travel Top 10 - the most important things to always consider when planning your trip!

1) TRAVEL ADAPTORS - When travelling and using adaptor plugs, instead of only charging one device at a time (let’s face it, it’s 2018, you have more than one gadget) why not pack an extension cord with 3 or 4 sockets so you can charge any or all of your devices without having to chop and change

2) EATING OUT - If you know you’re going to be visiting popular restaurants on your travels, (I’m a Hard Rock Café fan) try and book in advance where you can to avoid the wait and get to the best bit - the food and drink!

3) MONEY - Budget accordingly – depending on where you travel, prices can quickly spiral out of control, so always know how much money you’re going to need – of course you should always have a back-up in case your budget does go awry

4) OUT AND EXPLORING - Planned excursions – going on pre-organised excursions provided by a tour operator can be a great way to explore some amazing places – they’ll take you to one or several great locations and they’re sure to provide great value for money.

5) HOTELS - Your accommodation – this is probably the most important thing for most people, it can make or break your holiday – do you want a budget B&B or like to live a life of luxury in a 5* hotel, you need to choose somewhere that’s perfect for you, whether its going to purely be a base camp, or somewhere for you to spend some quality time, it crucial you get this right, because it’s not always going to be that easy to change it once you’re there

6) PHOTOS - Taking photos – you don’t always need a top of the range camera to take the best photos, which of course you’ll want to do so you can post your photo-ops on social media – your phone will have a pretty decent camera and you’re sure to get some great snaps there – although it is nice having a camera as I have invested in a good camera this year – but its not always to hand so my phone is still a top choice

7) LUGGAGE - Pack Accordingly – always pack more than you’ll need, you can never predict what the weather will be like, no matter where you are in the world – always pack extra essentials like underwear, socks etc. – its also key to remember to not over pack too, especially as airlines have high charges on any extra weight

8) THE LOCALS - Live like a local – bars and restaurants which are popular with locals are always a good sign – they usually offer a pretty good deal on food and drink, plus it’s a great way to try local dishes and to truly live like a local

9) A JOURNAL - Keep a journal – if you’re travelling for any length of time, whether it be a few days or a few weeks, its always handy just to keep a small notebook to log where you’ve been, what you’ve seen and the things you’ve tried and eaten

10) RESEARCH: THE MOST IMPORTANT THING - Do your research – if you’re planning a trip, don’t always plump for the first deal you find – there are many ways to travel, a package holiday or trip is the easiest way as all the leg work is done by a tour operator and you don’t have to worry about booking hotels, flights and excursions separately – your tour operator can arrange all of that for you. However, if you prefer to go it alone, you can book everything separate, which can be cheaper but adds to all the planning – but if you look around the internet, you’re sure to find some great package deals out there!

So there you have it, from the horse's mouth, my travel Top 10!

As per, if you have any questions about any aspect of travel, don't hesitate to get in touch!
